How to read an Aune label

A number, a name, a size and a dose. What every line on the bottle tells you, and why we print it.

The printed label of Nº 04 Sea Fennel Serum

Every Aune bottle carries the same short label: a number, our name, the formula's name and its size. On the back, every active and its percentage. Nothing else is needed to choose well.

The number

Formulas are numbered in the order they left the lab, from Nº 01, our cleansing balm, to the newest. The number never changes, even when we improve a formula, so you can always reorder the one you know.

The dose

Percentages matter. 10% niacinamide does a different job from 2%; 0.1% retinal is a strong night treatment. We print the dose so you can compare honestly, with us and with anyone else.

The date

Each bottle is dated when it is poured, with a symbol showing how many months it keeps once opened. Most formulas last twelve months; actives like retinal and vitamin C work best used within six.
